How we are paid
As Independent Chartered Financial Planners, we believe it is important that you can be assured of completely impartial advice. This is why the services we provide are paid for on a Fee basis.
On receiving an enquiry we invite a prospective client to come to our offices for a preliminary meeting. The purpose of the meeting is firstly to establish whether we are able to assist with your needs and objectives and secondly to discuss how we would be paid for our services should you instruct us to proceed. There is no charge for this preliminary meeting and no obligation on either side.
After the initial free consultation, our fees are discussed and agreed with you. If we receive commission we will pass on the full value of that commission in one or more ways. For example, we could reduce our fee; or reduce your product charges: or increase your investment amount; or refund the commission to you.
For mortgage advice a fee of £195 is payable and we will normally receive a procuration fee from the lender, which is based on a percentage of the loan approved.
You will be given our Key Facts and Costs of Services Guide at your first meeting and all Fees will be agreed in advance of any work being carried out on your behalf.
Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.
